ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCY AT NIGERIA MARITIME UNIVERSITY

Lecturer I (CONSUASS 04)
Qualifications/ Requirement
- A PhD certification from a reputable university is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of research and teaching experience in the tertiary institutions with proof of at least four (4) publications in local or international journals.
- The applicant should be registered with an appropriate professional body.
- OR
- Masters Degree certification in relevant discipline with a CGPA of 4.0 – 5.0 (or an average of 60% weighed) from a recognized institution or evidence of Ph.D. registration.
- At least six6 (6) years of research and teaching experience in the tertiary institutions with evidence of at least six (6) publications in local or international journals.
- NYSC certificate is required.
Lecturer II (CONSUASS 05)
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicant should possess a PhD. Degree certification from a recognized university or have a Masters’ Degree certification with a CGPA of 4.0 – 5.0 (or an average of 60% weighed).
- At least three (3) years of teaching and research experience in tertiary institution administration with a minimum of one (1) journal publication is a must.
- Being registered with the appropriate professional body is an added advantage.
- NYSC certificate.
Senior Lecturer (CONSUASS 05)
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must be PhD. Degree holders from a reputable university.
- A minimum of six (6) years teaching and research experience in tertiary institution administration with at least twelve (12) scholarly publications proof in both local and international recognizable journals in which 25% must have an impact factor.
- The applicant must be a registered member of an appropriate professional body.
- NYSC certificate is required.
Reader (CONSUASS 06)
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must be PhD. Degree holders from reputable universities.
- At least eight (8) years teaching and research experience in tertiary institution administration with at least thirty (30) scholarly publications proof in both local or international reputable journals with impact factor.
- The applicant must be registered with a relevant professional body.
- NYSC certificate is needed.
Professor (CONSUASS 07)
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must be PhD. Degree holders from reputable universities.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of cognitive experience in a reputable university administration.
- A demonstrated academic leadership competency is required.
- The applicant must specialize in the core area of the departmental field of study.
- Evidence of scholarly publications in local or international reputable academic journals in which 35% must have impact factors.
- Proof of registration with the appropriate professional body is a must.
- NYSC certificate.
NON-ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCY AT NIGERIA MARITIME UNIVERSITY
Chief Internal Audit
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must be a BSc/HND holder with a good class in Accounting or any other related discipline.
- The applicant must be a registered member of any of the ACA/ACCA/ACMA/ANAN/CPA/ICAN.
- At least eight (8) years of cognitive work experience in a university or related institution is a must.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Principal Internal Auditor or the equivalent position is also required.
- Computer literacy, as well as good working knowledge of accounting packages, is a must.
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Deputy Director Internal Audit
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Applicant must be a BSc/HND holder with a good class in Accounting or any other related discipline.
- At least twelve (12) years post professional qualification experience is required and must be in a university or related institution.
- The applicant must be qualified as a Director Internal Audit.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Chiefinternal Auditor or the equivalent position is also required.
- Computer literacy as well as good working knowledge of accounting packages is a must.
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Director Internal Audit
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must be a BSc/HND holder with a good class in Accounting or any other related discipline.
- A higher degree of certification in Accounting or related discipline is an added advantage.
- The applicant must be a registered member of any of the ACA/ACCA/ACMA/ANAN/CPA/ICAN.
- At least fifteen (15) years post professional qualification experience is required and must be in a university or related institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Deputy Director or the equivalent position is also required.
- The applicant must not be above the age of 60 years.
- Computer literacy, as well as good working knowledge of accounting packages, is a must.
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Assistant Registrar
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must possess BSc/HND certification in any of the humanities-related department
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in the university administration is required.
- Having a higher degree certification in a relevant department plus being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Previous working experience as an Administrative Officer or equivalent position in a university is a must.
- The applicant must be healthy.
- Good ICT knowledge is required
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Senior Assistant Registrar
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must possess BSc/HND certification in any of the humanities-related department
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the university administration is required.
- Having a higher degree certification in a relevant department plus being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Previous working experience as an Assistant Registrar or equivalent position in a university is a must.
- The applicant must be healthy.

Principal Assistant Registrar
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must possess BSc/HND certification in any of the humanities-related department
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience in the university administration is required.
- Having a higher degree certification in a relevant department plus being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Previous working experience as a Senior Assistant Registrar or equivalent position in a university is a must.
- The applicant must be healthy.

Deputy Registrar
Qualification/ Requirements
- Applicant must possess BSc/HND certification in any of the humanities-related department
- At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the university administration is required.
- Having a higher degree certification in a relevant department plus being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- Previous working experience as a Principal Assistant Registrar or equivalent position in a university is required.
- The applicant must possess excellent knowledge about the university system and environment and should be able to bring out the best in those working under him/her.
- The applicant must be of good character as well as possess good interpersonal relationships.
- Aspirants must be in a good manner to carry out his/her functions with good morals and character in order to influence the students and staff and maintain discipline amongst them.

Deputy Librarian
Qualifications/ Requirement
- The applicant must be a master’s degree certification holder in Library Information Studies.
- A PhD degree certification in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
- The applicant must be a registered member of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
- At least fifteen (15) years post professional qualification experience is required and must be in a university library.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Chief Librarian or the equivalent position is also required
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Deputy Bursar
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must be holders of First Degree certification or HND in Accounting or related department
- The applicant must be a registered member of any of the ACA/ACCA/ACMA/ANAN/CPA/ICAN.
- The applicant must not be above the age of 60 years.
- At least fifteen (15) years post professional qualification experience is required and must be in a university or related institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience as a Chief Accountant or the equivalent position is also required.
- The applicant must not be above the age of 60 years.
- Computer literacy, as well as good working knowledge of accounting packages, is a must.
- Applicant must possess an NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate where applicable.
Nursing Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must have a first-degree certification in Nursing or its equivalent obtained from a recognized institution.
- The applicant must be a registered member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- An NYSC Discharge/Exemption/ Exclusion certificate is needed where applicable.
Vehicle Driver
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must possess O’level WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB certification with a minimum of five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- The applicant must have a valid driver’s license plus other appropriate professional qualifications.
Quarter Master/ Beach Master
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must possess O’level WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB certification with a minimum of five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- The applicant must possess a Trade Test or proof of water manoeuvre qualification.
- Three (3) subjects at a sitting are required or at HSC/ GCE (A/L) with a minimum of four (4) years of appropriate experience.
Pharmacist
Qualifications/ Requirement
- A bachelors degree certification in pharmacy from a reputable institution is a must
- The applicant must be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria.
- NYSC certificate is required.
Medical Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree certification in Medicine obtained from a recognized institution.
- A higher degree certification is an added advantage.
- The applicant must be a registered member of the appropriate medical body of Nigeria.
- NYSC certificate is a must.
Executive Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must possess National Diploma (OND) certification or the equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Two (2) subjects at a sitting are required, or at HSC/ GCE (A/L), or three (3) subjects at two sittings with a minimum of four (4) years appropriate experience.
- ICT knowledge is a must.
- The applicant must be healthy.
Administrative Assistant/ Executive Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must have Bachelors’ Degree or HND certification a relevant discipline obtained from a reliable institution.
- Being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- ICT knowledge is a must.
- The applicant must be in good health.
Technical Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must possess National Diploma (OND) certification or the equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- The applicant must have three (3) subjects at a sitting or at HSC/ GCE (A/L) with a minimum of four (4) years of appropriate experience.
Administrative Officer
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must hold bachelor’ Degree or HND in Humanities or similar disciplines.
- Three (3) years of cognitive experience in university administration or masters degree certification is also needed.
- Being a registered member of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
- ICT knowledge is a must.
- The applicant must be in good health.
- NYSC certificate is required.
Engineering Laboratory Technologist/ Technician
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must hold Bachelors’ Degree or HND in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- The applicant must be a registered member of an appropriate professional body.
- NYSC certificate is required.
Medical Laboratory Technologist
Qualifications/ Requirement
- Applicants must hold Bachelors’ Degree or HND in Laboratory Science Technology from a recognized institution.
- The applicant must be a registered member of an appropriate professional body.
- NYSC certificate is needed.
