NISLT Vacancies

Assistant Registrars /Directors; -(CONRAISS 15)

Applicants must fulfill the following:

  • Applicant must be a Fellow Professional Member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (FISLT).
  • He/She must possess a current practicing license.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years post-qualification laboratory experience in the Chemistry/Biochemistry area of Science Laboratory Technology practice.
  • Candidates must have HND/B.Sc./B.Tech certification in Science Laboratory Technology and Master’s Degree or Ph.D. certification in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Physics with Electronics.
  • The individual must have a wide range of experience and exposure to modern laboratory techniques.
  • She/He must be able to operate high-tech laboratory equipment without supervision in his/her area of specialization.
  • Should be able to liaise with both the public and private institutions in matters relating to science and technology development and delivery.
  • Possess evidence of at least two Scientific Publications in International Journals.
  • Computer Literacy is highly required.
  • Proficiency in equipment maintenance and Instrumentation.
  • Must not be below the age of 45 years.
  • Minimum current grade positions of Chief Laboratory Scientist/Technologist or equivalent.

Assistant Director, Laboratory Services:(CONRAISS 14)

The candidates must fulfill the following:

  • Candidates must belong to Fellow Professional Member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (FISLT) body.
  • She/He must possess a current practicing license.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years post-qualification laboratory experience in the Chemistry/Biochemistry area of Science Laboratory Technology practice.
  • Applicants must have HND/B.Sc./B.Tech certification in Science Laboratory Technology and Master’s Degree or Ph.D. certification in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Physics with Electronics.
  • The individual must have a wide range of experience and exposure to modern laboratory techniques.

Chief Laboratory Scientists/Chief Laboratory Technologists; – (CONRAISS 13)

The candidates must fulfill the following:

  • Applicant must be a Fellow Professional Member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (FISLT).
  • He/She must possess a current practicing license.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 years post-qualification laboratory experience in the Chemistry/Biochemistry area of Science Laboratory Technology practice.
  • Candidates should possess HND/B.Sc./B.Tech certification in Science Laboratory Technology and Master’s Degree or Ph.D. certification in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Physics with Electronics.
  • He/She must have proficiency in equipment maintenance and Instrumentation.
  • Minimum current grade positions of Principal Laboratory Scientist/Principal Laboratory Technologist.

Principal Laboratory Technologist: – (CONRAISS 11)

The candidates must fulfill the following:

  • Candidates must belong to Associate Professional Member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (AISLT) body.
  • She/He must possess a current practicing license.
  • Must have a minimum of 9 years post-qualification laboratory experience in the Chemistry/Biochemistry area of Science Laboratory Technology practice.
  • Applicants must have HND/B.Sc./B.Tech certification in Science Laboratory Technology.
  • An applicant with a Master’s Degree Certification in the recognized field has an added advantage.
  • He/She Must be holding current positions, not below the grade of Senior Technologist/ Scientist.

Principal Scientific Officer:- (CONRAISS 11)

The candidates must fulfill the following:

  • The applicant must be a registered member of the Institute.
  • Candidate must possess a current practicing license.
  • He/She must have a minimum of 9 years of post-qualification laboratory experience in the Chemistry/Biochemistry area of Science Laboratory Technology practice.
  • Applicants should be holders of HND/B.Sc./B.Tech Science Laboratory Technology certification.
  • An applicant with a Master’s Degree Certification in the recognized field has an added advantage.
  • She/He Must be holding current positions, not below the grade of Senior Technologist/ Scientist.
  • Proficiency in Research Methodology is needed.

Interested and qualified applicants should forward their detailed Curriculum Vitae (15 copies) to:

not later than six (6) weeks from the date of the publication of the vacancies (September 20, 2018).

Applicants should as well submit names and addresses of three (3) referees who should be requested to forward their referees’ reports under confidential cover to the above NISLT address within the aforementioned period.

Important Notice

– The point of entry depends on the candidate’s present salary and the allowances attached will be at the rates payable and the conditions of service in the Federal Government Research Institutes and Allied Institutions.

– Further terms will be governed by the conditions procured in all Parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.
