About Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (FUNAI)

Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike which is abbreviated ‘FUNAI’ is one of the Nigerian federal government-owned Universities situated at Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria.

FUNAI is among the recently established federal universities in the year 2011 and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes after which candidates are awarded degree certification upon graduation in their various fields.

Candidates who wished to be admitted into the university must meet the NUC approved admission standard for all Nigerian universities which is:

• Obtaining at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE WAEC/NECO/GCE or its equivalent of which English Language, Mathematics is compulsory plus any other three (3) subjects related to candidate’s interested field of study.
• Sitting for the current year JAMB UTME exam and obtain the minimum JAMB cut off mark for Nigerian universities
• Sitting for the FUNAI Post UTME screening and obtain the minimum FUNAI cut off mark for the aspiring department.

In FUNAI admission is not just opened for Nigerians alone; foreign candidates can apply once the specified standard is met.
