iTunes Reset

Required Tools
  • PC.
  • Apple iPhone cable.

iTunes Reset Procedures

  • Download and install an iTunes app on your PC.
  • Connect the iPhone to your PC using the cable.
  • Launch the iTunes app on your PC.
  • Type in your passcode if requested.
  • Wait for some minutes for your iPhone to synchronize with your PC.
  • After the synchronization, backup your files.
  • Then hit the ‘Restore’ button.
  • Finally, Select your device and check the date and size of the available backups and select the most recent.

iCloud Reset

Required Tools
  • Internet-enabled device.

Reset Procedures

  • Visit the iCloud official website, www.iCloud.com/find
  • Enter your Apple ID.
  • Click the ‘All Devices’ on the topmost side of the screen.
  • Select the device you want to reset.
  • Tap on the ‘Erase’ button.
  • Two options namely ‘Restore From A
  • Backup’ and ‘Set up As New’ would be given to you.
  • If you have a previous backup, you can choose the restore from a backup option or choose the set up as new if you don’t have previous backups.

Recovery Mode Reset

Before carrying out the recovery mode, you would need to back up your data by using the aforementioned iTunes Reset method without clicking the ‘Restore’ button as this method will erase your whole data and files on the phone.

Required Tools
  • PC.
  • Apple iPhone cable.
  • iTunes App

Recovery Mode Reset Procedures

  • Connect the iPhone to your PC with the cable.
  • Launch the iTunes app on your PC.
  • Type in your passcode if requested.
  • Wait for some minutes for your iPhone to synchronize with your PC.
  • After the synchronization, backup your files.
  • Force restart your iPhone by pressing and holding the Sleep and Home keys together for about 10 seconds until the recovery mode screen appears.
  • Two options would display, ‘Restore’ and ‘Update’.
  • Select the Update option and iTunes will begin to install iOS all over on the device.
  • Your files will not be erased since you backed them up on the iTunes but it will take a few minutes to complete the Update.

Important Notice

Keep your iPhone still and make sure that the USB cable is perfect while connecting with iTunes.
