Nigeria customs recruitment 2019

Nigeria Customs recruitment 2019 portal is now open and application is invited from qualified and suitable Nigerians.

3200 eligible young Nigerians will get employed through Nigeria Customs Recruitment 2019 in various vacant positions grouped into three categories namely; Superintendent, inspector, and Assistant cadres of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Customs Recruitment 2019 Available Vacant Categories & Fields

Category ‘A’ Customs Superintendent Cadre:

ASCII (Support Staff)-CONSOL 08

– Applicants must be holders of bachelor’s degree, HND or equivalent certification in any of the listed fields or related department.
– Applicants are required to present their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Category ‘B’ General Duty:

Customs Inspector Cadre

Assistant Inspector-CONSOL 06

– Applicants must be holders of OND, NCE certification or its equivalent and must have been acquired from recognized polytechnics and other institutions.

Customs Assistant Cadre

Customs Assistant Grade II – CONSOL 04

– Applicants must be SSCE/ NECO/ GCE holders with credits in at least 3 subjects which must include English and Mathematics been obtained at one sitting and at least two other subjects with passes.
OR
– Holders of GCE Ordinary Level with passes in four subjects of which English and Mathematics are compulsory and must have been acquired at one sitting or more subjects which English and Mathematics is must and must have been obtained at no more than two sittings.

Customs Assistant Grade II – CONSOL 03

– Candidates under this department must hold evidence of full course obtained in any Government approved secondary school or S.75 or JSSC and Trade Test certificate where relevant.

General Requirements For The Custom 2019 Recruitment

  • Applicants must be Nigerians by birth or descent.
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.7 meters in height, while females must be at least 1.64 meters in height.
  • Male applicants must have fully expanded chest of at least 0.87 meters wide.
  • Applicant must be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for the appointment in the Customs service.
  • Applicants must be free from all physical and mental disability.
  • Applicants must not be financially embarrassed.
  • Must be of good character and must not have any crime trace or record.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • State of origin certificate is required and must be duly signed by the chairman/ secretary of applicant’s local government as any certificate which was endorsed by liaison officer will not be accepted.
  • Candidates applying for the position of inspector and customs assistant cadres must be between 18 – 25 years old.
  • Candidates applying for superintendent cadre position must not be more than 30 years old.

How To Apply For Custom Recruitment 2019

  • Candidates are required to visit www.vacancy.customs.gov.ng for the Nigeria custom application form.
  • Click on the Vacancies link.
  • Complete the application form with appropriate information.
  • Click on the ‘submit’ button.
  • If you prefer to physically submit the application form hard copy, you must do that at any Customs Headquarters, Abuja as any other customs formation will not be considered.
  • You will receive an acknowledgment containing a Reference number upon submission and must be kept intact for all future correspondence.

Important Notice

  • Application closes on Monday 7th May 2019.
  • Nigeria Customs Recruitment 2019 is free of charge.
  • Only the shortlisted candidates will be called up for the second phase of the Nigeria Customs recruitment exercise.
