Vacant Positions For Federal University Dutse Recruitment

Director – University Health Services (CONTISS 15)

Responsibilities

• The Director shall be answerable to the Vice-Chancellor on professional and administrative leadership in the University Health Centre(s).
• Will carry out  Chief Medical Officer functions as well as recommend the appointment of staff and take charge of their deployments.
• The position holder will organize as well as make recommendations for manpower development while ensuring the procurement of health care equipment, dressing, and drugs.
• Will provide community services and other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Applicants must be MBBS Degree holders from a recognized institution.
• Must possess membership of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• NYSC Discharge/ Exemption Certificate is required (where applicable).
• Computer literacy is a must.
• At least fifteen (15) years of experience as a medical practitioner is required.

Chief Security Officer (CONTISS 13)

Responsibilities

• This person shall be assigned the responsibility of all security architecture of the University as we ensure that lives and properties are safeguarded.
• The Chief Security Officer shall provide and ensure that the academic environment, as well as residential areas of the University, are secured to guarantee learning, teaching, and research.
• This person shall advise on and is responsible for the security policy implementation of the University.
• He/ She organizes and ensures periodic security enlightenment programs on crime prevention and detection.
• Shall ensure cordial working relationship and liaise with other security agencies in terms of emergency.
• In executing these duties, the officer is answerable to the Vice-Chancellor.

Requirements

• Applicants must be first Degree holders or equivalent in any field of study from a reputable institution.
• The applicant must have reached the rank of serving or retired Major or equivalent in the Armed Forces or Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) in the Nigeria Police or equivalent ranks in other security outfits.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in commanding positions is a must.
• NYSC Discharge/ Exemption Certificate is required (where applicable).
• Must be computer literate.

Condition of Service

• Chief Security Officer appointment is based on a period of two (2) years in the first instance and can be renewed for another period of two (2) years upon satisfactory performance.
• The candidate must not be above the age of 60 years by the end of the current year.
• The individual must possess high integrity and the ability to command the respect and loyalty of staff.
• Must be open to new ideas and innovation;
• Those with higher Degrees will have added advantage,
• Conditions of service for the position are based on the Nigerian Federal Universities scale though it may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria/Governing Council.
