Utility Technician (Flexible Packaging) Responsibilities

• The key responsibility is to operate and maintain equipment at the utility section by the approved policies & procedures of the company to ensure the availability of quality service to production & other areas of the plant.
• Operates steam boilers, air compressors, power distribution equipment etc to ensure quality service delivery.
• Maintain all equipment under utilities to minimise downtime. Maintain CO2 access points as per specification -Must be locked always.
• Carry out equipment monitoring as per checklist, document findings and recommend actions to be taken. Write equipment shift operation report.
• Lubricate equipment as specified in the lubrication chart and documentation. Clean and wash all stains on equipment after lubrication
• Ensure all safety sensors, reflectors & safety controls are in good working condition.
• Use all company provided protective wear and gadgets and comply with all Health and Safety rules

• Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practices, food safety practices, good environmental management systems, occupational Health and Safety practices in all line activities.
• Monitor and ensure CCPs critical limits are not exceeded at the Dominik Hunter and Filler. MONITORING of control points, PRPs and oPRPs in the beverage manufacture process to prevent food safety-related hazards.
• Any other assigned duties

Requirements:

• Relevant Engineering Certificate or equivalent Certificate Trade test 1, 11, 111, OND, HND C&G Part II
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical position in a manufacturing company
• Appropriate command and use of the English language spoken and written
• Good understanding and experience of current manufacturing methodologies
• Good understanding of plant HQSE modalities and codes
• Significant experience with a measure of cost reduction initiatives within a manufacturing environment
• Good oral communication, influencing and relationship skills
• Good analytical skills
